The company introduced domestic credit insurance in 1998 and performance guarantees in 2004 to complement the export credit insurance that was bringing very low income due to the small export base. In 2015 BECI further expanded its financial products offerings to include invoice discounting and purchase order financing. This product line was discontinued in 2019 as private players were now sufficient and have the requisite capacity to satisfy the market.
