Following the pronouncement by the Minister of Finance Economic Development Hon. Dr. Thapelo Matsheka on the COVID 19 impact fiscal policy packages, the public is informed that BECI has been appointed the Fund Administrator for the Loan Guarantee facility meant to assist in stabilising businesses.
BECI is in the process of formulating the framework and guidelines which shall govern the loan guarantee facility. The process is in consultation with government and related agencies, financing institutions and business community.
The media and stakeholders shall be updated on the developments in due course, and the general public is encouraged to stay calm during the lockdown as we seek ways to cushion businesses during and post the COVID 19 pandemic.
